These buffer plated are designed to help. They improve the reader's range by separating your RF reader a full inch away from the metal surface and provide a High Density Polyethelene (HDPE) insulator.
With its universal, pre-drilled & countersunk hole patterns and other markings, this buffer plate is designed to be very little work for an installer to use on any combination of reader, pedestal, housing, wall, etc. The countersunk holes allow the use of socket wrenches and recessed nuts so your card reader will mount flush.
